Do You Have Questions About Your Upcoming Dentist Appointment? Here is a list of our FAQ:

Why is it important to go to the dentist regularly?

Many people don’t go to the dentist until they feel they have a problem. However, major damage can happen to your teeth without your knowledge. For instance, you may not feel a cavity until it erodes your tooth down to the nerve, but a dentist can detect this cavity 3-4 years before it reaches that point, allowing the problem to be corrected early.

How early should I arrive for my new patient exam?

You should plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to your new patient exam in order to fill out any paperwork necessary before your exam.

How long does a new patient exam take?

New patient exams vary in length according to the individual needs of patients. However, you should expect your new patient exam to take between 1-1.5 hours.

How many times a year should I schedule a dental exam?

A good rule of thumb for scheduling dental exams is to have one at least twice per year. Preventative dental care is truly the least expensive and most beneficial way to see to your mouth’s healthcare needs.

What are dental sealants for?

Dental sealants are thin protective coatings dentists place over the chewing surfaces of molars and premolars. Dental sealants are recommended by the American Dental Association to help prevent cavities.
